My two little Araucanas have decided that their favorite place is my back porch. I chased them around the porch today because I thought that they might actually like to spend their time outside in the GRASS or something...nope..Let me see if I can post some pics... Really frustrated got them from the camera to my computer can't seem to figure out how to get hem here yet...

together. One of the two button quail got stuck under the towel and died. He was having issues as well though. I think he hatched prematurely because the second little one was running circles around him. It was Luke he couldn't get his legs under himself properly.

The other one is super healthy and seriously adorable

No more babies yet. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to leave number 1 in the incubator. He is all over the place, knocking the other eggs around. This one is going to be a 'wild' one! Don't think I am going to stay up as late tonight, real tired. I should get some sleep tonight, just in case I should get more babies and have to stay up tomorrow night.

My first one from Napoleon and Fawn was a wild child too - rolled the eggs everywhere - but I actually think he helped get the other eggs going by doing that so I honestly would leave it in there. I left mine in there for 3 full days and it was fine. My other eggs did not hatch until Day 21. This one was early so you have to take that into consideration too. Get some rest : ) You'll have more babies soon.

I let them hatch, leave them in since they really want to sleep and I have found that if the area of the incubator is more dark than daylight they stay calmer. So at night I don't flip on a light but shine my flashlight at and angle to see but not disturb which seems to make all of them crazy until I leave again

I have to second this, something I learned the hard way. They act all crazy and want to get out but they really do ok and are much healthier it seems than the ones I took out too early. It killed me leaving them in there but I did it and I won't ever do it differently from now on. It made me realize I was the reason I was having such bad hatches most of the time
