true. I've decided to hatch this set of eggs like any normal egg - nothing special, nothing different. I'm not even going to pay attention to humidity (Silkiechicken will be proud of me

) I did that the first time I hatched Serama eggs over a year ago and I had all of them hatch except one without a problem. I think I have just been "thinking" too much.

Yeah, WTH with the shrinkwrapping? I was just thinking the same thing with the eggs I just hatched. I was attributing the very vigorous hatch to their not being shipped and that includes not having a dried out membrane the poor baby has to escape from. And to add more confusion, I had increased the humidity for lock down about 2 days early for 3 of the eggs in a staggered hatch. I thought I might lose some to too much humidity too early. I also didn't get the humidity up as high as I usually do because I forgot to add sponges. I was about 10 - 15% lower than I usually run. Now if I can only duplicate this.

Congrats on the surprise baby and setting the 2 dozen serama eggs (busy birds!), clover and zoo!

Shrink wrapping is my worst nightmare. It even seems to happen in my Brinsea where I can control the humidity fairly well. And thanks, I'm very excited to see which roosters are fertile and of course, what babies I get from them! I have quite a few eggs from all my roosters except the 3 young ones (of course they are my frizzled and silkied ones lol). I know without a doubt that my oldest rooster, Othello, is fertile, so I'm expecting babies from him. The others, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed

Sadly, I'm not keeping any of the babies, but I'll enjoy them while I can.

Finally I can sit down and see what's going on here...and it's nothing! We all must be very busy.

Clover, I have a Lyon Roll-x.
