So... something terrible happened on my little farm today...

I found a broody hen!

-->>Just don't tell my husband that I'm looking for pure breed hatching eggs!. As pretty as my girls are, I really want something other than barnyard variety this time.
(I'm open to suggestions)

Ok, guys, I really really hate asking for help (those who know me know this) but I need help. Del's just gave me a standard Polish chick with curled toes (like little Riccio Heather) so I'm fixing that now but I don't want the chick. They also gave me a free frizzled white Cochin (I'd bet money it's a hen) that I also do not want, and the worst, a crippled white turkey poult. There is nothing I can do to fix it but I also can't "take care of it" nor can I raise it up to "take care of" later. Help...anyone, please...

Wow! That is an awesome website!!!! I get lost for like a day and all the sudden there is a whole new page of posts! And I have my pages set to 75 posts per page. It's not even close to swap time...

Laura... I'm not far away... if there is a bird you can't fix I can make things disappear. If there is a bird you can fix up enough to eat on it's own and needs to disappear later in life I will be going home in 1-2 weeks for a few days and can take them back there and have it disapear in a few months.

I agree! Love the beards and muffs! Clover, I can't wait for the banty baby to grow up some more and start looking like a Faverolle. Right now she still looks like a baby but she's growing fast! I have some MFC eggs that I just can't put in the bator. The broody has 4 and I stuck 4 more in the incubator 2 days ago. They were a little old so I'm not sure what's going develop. And the girls are still laying....

Is the frizzle a bantam and how old? I might be able to help but I have 10 eggs cooking either under the broody or in the bator. Why did they give you the frizzle? I don't want a polish and I can't take the turkey. How bad is the turkey? I might know someone who will take it if it can get around...until November.

How crippled is the poult??

It is a slipped tendon

Paula is taking it and going to work with it. I don't know what chance the guy has but we'll see. If I didn't have all my Seramas and the other two chicks I need to really do something about, I'd take it on, but right now I'm over the top lol.

The little bantam frizzle has a home I think with Alexis - waiting to confirm - but the Polish still needs one.
