It has been so may posts back (and I can't find it) on what everyone is bringing. Is anyone bringing any Orpington pullets? I'm looking for a couple, color doesn't matter. I had 4 earlier this year. Lost 3 as chicks and now the last one. She was the one that was letting all the others walk all over her and I had to keep separating her. She had been eating and drinking, and acting real well. I think she just was lonely and just gave up. She was an odd bird, especially around other pullets. Anywho, I like the breed and would like a couple to add to my laying hens. Anyone?
Thanks,

I am looking forward to coming to the swap and buying honey and seeing all the lovely birds again. I was at the last one in Canby. I bought 3 Indian runner ducklings who have grown to big kids now. A drake and 2 hens. I think that one is not full blood as she doesnt stand as tall as the others and walks or sits more like a regular duck( but has the best personality). Anyway. I would like to find a lovely new home for them. After a lot of soulsearching and cleaning up, I think they are not my cup of tea at this time and place. I thought that it would work out fine with my current coop. But it is not.

I would like to trade, sell or give them to a BYC'er who can give them a great home. They are not SQ. But will probably start laying eggs at the end of August. If you are interested please PM me, or respond on site. Thank you.

I mean this in the nicest way possible but who sends hatching eggs in the post in styrofoam without wrapping each egg?

And yes I did receive 12+ broken hatching eggs which smell divine!

Seriously bummed! I have a feeling she's never shipped eggs before.

I saw on Craigslist where someone in Vancouver has Ostrich chicks for sale! Now that is something you just don't see everyday. $250 dollars a chick! I ran and told my hubby (not the price, just that I found Ostrich chicks for sale) You should have seen the look in his eyes! (he thought I was serious) Once he go his heart back to beating, he said that would be the straw that would lead to a divorce! I just started laughing! I told him it would be a 'chicken' that he could at least RIDE!! He didn't find it funny. " We don't have a yard big enough for an Ostrich! Silly!" I told him. I think he was somewhat relieved!
But I really did see the ad for Ostriches and they were $250 bucks a piece! (and in the back of my head, I was picturing having a couple! (I just won't tell my hubby.) SHHhhhh!

Hey, it works and protects the flooring. In fact, I wish I would have thought of it before the chickens!
