Oregon Fall Poultry Swap - October 22 - Corvallis @ the Fairgrounds!!!

Everything was inspected for mites at admission at my local fair. Requirement was to dust one week before the fair, but, of course, no way to enforce that.

Then the fair was supposed to dust everything mid-way through the fair. It looked to me like the birds got sprayed.

We brought our own poultry dust and mixed it with the bedding material, and dusted her before we took her in too.

I wanted to post some pics of the polish I hatched this year. There are 21 of them total, and I hope to rehome a few at the swap. I am not entirely sure yet on all of their genders or which ones I am keeping....but I thought I'd show them off and see if any one has any interest. I know for sure that I have a buff laced cockerel available, and probably at least two gold laced pullets. I may have an extra buff laced pullet available if both of the other two are pullets. The oddball barred buffs that hatched I am planning on keeping. Anyway, I just wanted to show them off and see what you all think of my babie.

I took a lot of photos, so rather than try to upload them all here I put them in a facebook album. Hopefully the link works.

If not I'll upload a few directly to the forum later. If anyone on here has experience with polish and wants to guess on any of their genders that would great!

I also wanted to update my have/want list. I have decided not to want anything alive at the moment....unless someone tempts me with something great! And all of the roosters I had on my list before have already been rehomed. So my list is much smaller now. I'm sure it will change again (and again!) before the swap.

Thanks. These guys are also super sweet and docile. They are totally relaxed when you pick them up or handle them in any way. And they love to have their pictures taken.

I have a polish pullet on my want list. I'm wanting to get one to name after my Aunt Barb. She loved the polish chickens! She past away a few years ago and I want one to remember her by. My cousin, Aunt Barb's oldest daughter, says that I remind her a lot of her mom. I quess I took after her in personality and likes. So you can put my name on pullet for the swap. (a dark one, if you have one.) if not, doesn't really matter. Female is more important.
Thanks,
(nice pics, by they way!)

A black and white polish is on my want list for sure!!! But after seeing your pictures I see that I could fall for a few lol. How old are they now? I'm really hoping to find 1-2 between 11 and 16 weeks (the ages of my 3 girls) Oh my goodness I'm in love with this breed now lol

Edited to say "pullets", I'm looking for pullets not roos. I'm still trying to re-home my blue and Black Ameraucana roos
