Oregon folks (Washington too) - Chicken Swap in Salem on June 13!

It was a fun time. Playswithfowl has some lovely birds! Perhaps another one will be in order this fall?

Husband is out back building a quarantine tractor for the bird we weren't getting today.

Thanks Bil!

One thing, no one had a camera!

I had a great time too!

For next time:
Cell phone numbers so if you get lost you can call someone...
More food...
Bring the camera...

Thanks for the fun, friendship, chicks, bread, and coffee cake!

I have to thank everybody, my daughter and I had a great time!! We left there with WAY more than we thought we would and we appreciate it all.

My daughter is SOOO excited about the quail eggs (incubator is warming up right now), the chickens are beautiful and doing great in their temporary home, and the plants are going to be planted tomorrow!

It is great to put a face with all the names. It will make reading the boards so much more enjoyable!

Thanks!

Bil

DITTO ON THE FUN... and even though some of the chicks that I thought to get didn't show I still came home with about a dozen... I love my two new "hobbits" ( one real, one mix - but that's fine by me) and the packing peanuts are cute as a button...the red girls are settling in just fine and are really pretty. So all in all a good day - good thing I didn't dismantle my brooder area so I have places for quarantine. Glad ya like to coffee cake...and yeah, lets do it again in the fall (on a Sunday afternoon maybe? - hate to miss a day at Saturday Market - but today worked fine cause I would have been really wet if I'd gone.)

Sorry I didn't get the chance to meet everyone...well I had the chance but I am not a big group people person so please forgive me for not jumping in. Maybe next time!

Lensters....Enjoy your Welsummers and please let me know how the Welbars work out! How cool!

Geebs.....Enjoy your little Salmon Faverolle, they are such sweet birds....sorry about the blue wheaton boy, man I wished he was a standard.

Glad to see that everyone had fun!

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of big crowds either. I met about half of the people. I probably would have done better if I arrived early, or at least on time, instead of late when things were already in full swing.

PinkChick, Thanks for the Welsummers. I'll probably keep some purebreds around as well.

TheKLA, great coffee cake had some for dessert last night and breakfast this morning.
