Oregon Spring Chicken Swap!! SAT, April 24!! Albany OR **UPDATED MAP*

Quote:
Had some in the bator from WA, but in messing with the thermostat, fried them. So the ones in the bator now are from Angiechick. Lampshade is still chilling at home with the other chicks, which have caught up in size!!! Little guy is so silly.

No worries! I will add it to the list and post it again by mid week. If the SFs get spoken for by then, please just send me a PM! These are the times when I wish I lived on a farm....sigh.

And congratulations!!!!

I have a new update: A woman named Shelley saw the ad on Craigslist and would like to come. This is her have/want list. If you can help her out or are interested in what she has, let me know and I will get a message to her so you can work out the details!

I also am in touch with a woman named Michelle right now who might have some chicks to trade. When I hear more from her, I will post another update.

Shelley:

Have: White Leghorn (have 20) and Black Sexlink (have 14) pullets (will be 7 weeks old and feathered out)
Barred Rock Pullets (7-months old - if I have any left. They've been selling on Craigslist)

Want: Blue Orpington

Another update from

Have: cleaned and disinfected rabbit and chicken cages; waterers and feeders all for sale at very, very low prices
Want:

I wish I had known about her in November when I started spending a fortune on cages for my hatches!!!

Thanks for the offer! I'm looking for meat ready to go so to say. I miss fresh meat down here in oregon as I find the regular old bird from the store to be rather mushy and flavorless. I don't have a place to raise meat birds down here in Oregon, and don't want to give my parents back home more work than they already have in maintaining the layers.

Wellllllll....I haven't completely decided which ones I'm going to bring...

I know I have 1 pullet that's around 10 weeks that will be coming (along with a cockerel the same age) and the others are younger, I'm trying to wait till the last possible minute to see if their combs are giving me a hint as to sex by then...I know, I'm not helpful at all...

Oh, and some days I'm not as bright as others, but I just went back through the posts, and I didn't see anything about you wanting the other breeds I'm bringing...I only have that tsagirl wants the white frizzle cochin...???

Silkiechicken~

I may have a meat bird for you. My neighbor has a hen whose egg quality has gone way down, plus she is kind of the bully of the flock, so she is sick of dealing with her. She said I could have her for stew. Well, I really use the old ones for pot pie, but anyway... if you were interested I would bring her to the swap. Don't know how picky you are about age. I'll glady keep her if you don't want her.
