Oregon Spring Chicken Swap!! SAT, April 24!! Albany OR **UPDATED MAP*

Quote:
I know what you mean. I have put my college aged son on standby to run between the swap and my place to fetch chicks and/or rabbit cages in case I don't get enough of one or the other to the swap. Good thing it is in Albany, I couldn't do that if it were any further away.

So - as it turns out, we're not going to be able to make it this weekend. BUT - I will definitely keep an eye out for future swaps. This is such a GREAT idea, and I'd love to see it continue.

Blessings,

dina

Yes, please keep a look out for more of these in the late summer or fall. I'd really like to keep this going!

Sorry I haven't been around the thread today. I have been helping my friend care for her 8 week old BR that was attacked over the weekend by another friend's dog. The little girl didn't make it and my friend was very distraught. Her husband is in the hospital, just had surgery, so her nerves are just shot. I offered to bury the little BR in my pet cemetery. Poor little thing

I have a couple updates to add to the list (a more formal one tomorrow I hope) since I see we have a few updates.

This is from Tina, who saw the thread and the listing on Craigslist:

Have: 3 hens that are bantam SLW mixed, they have some feathering down their legs (not sure what they were mixed with ), they are great layers, I also have 2 standard sized SLW chicks that are about 3 weeks old now..

Want: I would love some jersey giants, lavender orpingtons and BLRW's

She asks that is anyone has any of her wants to please let her know (through me until Saturday). She will definitely be at the swap.

I also got a random email from the craigslist today from someone looking for rouen duck hen. He has 6 drakes and is willing to trade some for hens. If anyone can help him out, let me know and I'll pass the message along.

Hi. I'm new to the chicken hobby & am thrilled I found this thread. I'm going to attend. I've nothing to swap but am interested in a cochen or silkie chickie. Maybe a cage or tractor as well. & if I get going early enough Saturday morning, I'll try to bake up something for the potluck.
Thanks.

I just updated my photos of the chickens I will be bringing to the swap. They are all roosters, 6 barnyard mixes from my Cochin Bantam rooster, about 8 OEGB's from Pamperedpoultry's stock here on the site and a bantam Cochin from her stock as well. They are all pets so I won't be selling them or giving them away as meat birds. What happens to them later in life is what happens to them, but for now, they must go to a flock of their own.

He's yours if you want him!!! All I ask for is updates when he gets bigger!

I wish I could take him, but I'm bringing 10+ roos to the swap myself that must go! Lol sorry!
