Thank you!

Good luck on the eggs Zanna and Cloverleaf, how are the Serama babies doing?

They are awesome!! Their little wingtip feathers are starting to come in, and one of them (the one with the eyeliner) is a little monster! LOL It constantly pushes the other one around! But they are so sweet when I hold them they fall asleep on me....sigh...

Yeah, that's the way I read that it works (girls relax, boys struggle with legs up) but just goes to show you that it probably works 50% of the time! Unless the universe is backwards at Zoomums house. Wouldn't surprise me.

And the cochins are spoiled. They come in quite often. Moose makes herself at home on the couch. I have to run around with the paper towels and clorox wipes and hope I get the poop before the dogs eat it.

Lots of things are backwards and upside down and every other which way at my house!

Yeah, it's not a tried and true way, but I've had fairly good luck with it over the last few years. Usually the girls will stay relaxed and keep their legs pulled tight but I have a couple girls that stretch their legs out straight and yet a few others who struggle lol. BUT the boys always stick one leg out right away no matter what. I've never been wrong on those.

And thank you Daze

So maybe it's the relaxing aspect of the test. I did this on the batch of cochins that were mostly boys and I was bummed because it ended up that they were mostly boys!!!

Ok, most recent photos of the babies going into the flickr set in a few minutes. I have a woman in Waldport who is buying Xander (my Serama roo) but also wants some other bantams. She hasn't seen any of them yet so I'd thought I'd give my fellow swappers a chance first, especially the few who have mentioned wanting a one or two from me.

Oh man, I just found this thread dang it! We're looking to add 5 girls this Spring.

Want

Chicks (1-3 days):
blue or olive egg layer
Maran (preferably cuckoo)
Welsummer

Pullets:
2 Silkies preferably a splash and blue...but not too picky.

Will anyone have silkie pullets there? I don't really want to get them from a hatchery
