There's a lot of peeping going on. They'll hatch while I'm gone. This is a good thing. I'm a hoverer and hand wringer.

Wishing you a great hatch as well tallyho and a safe trip to and from Seattle

I don't see it on anyone's "want list" but is anyone looking for nice quality (from a show quality rooster) Mille Fleurs D'Uccles? If so, PM me and I'll give you more information.

ALL lavs?!?!??? That's awesome!!

When they are about 4-5 weeks old (sometimes sooner) you should be able to tell what you've got as far as girls and boys by comb color.

Weeeell.....I was planning on getting a bigger cabinet incubator, and I still am, but I kept finding eggs I wanted so this is kind of luck sticking duct tape on my problem! LOL The problem being my inability not to buy eggs, for chicks I have no room for anyways!!! I was planning on adding 2-3 chicks this year, and have no idea where I am going to put the 6-7 that I am currently wanting to keep if all my eggs hatch and I can decide on the chick, sooo many fun breeds out there!!! My biggest thing is I need a Frizzle Serama Pullet ((the only eggs I dont currently have

))!!! Aside from that all these eggs are fun and will be sold straight run to others once the kids pick a single pullet (hopefully) from each breed! At least thats what I keep telling myself as I continue to shop for eggs! Dang I need some land!

Thank-you! I am in love with the Lav's. My initial brooder is a large rubbermaid tub in the house. When I look in, they stare up at me and I stare back until I just have to snuggle with them!!

Got another hatchling. This one should be the buff bantam brahma. And from what I read they can be sexed as chicks. The girls have more greyish down. This one might be a girl.

I'm getting worried about the others. Nothing happening. I know it's not my incubator. It's been perfect. Oh well...I'm happy with 2!

And this party last night...I had to wear a cocktail dress and everything! Very fun but I didn't know many people. This bash must have cost around $15K. My BIL flew in Ryan Star to sing at dinner. I guess he has a top 20 hit right now. My BIL has a lot of connections. We're the 'average' ones of both my family and my DH's.
