I get about 1/2- 2/3 of a 50lb bag of feed in it. I have really enjoyed it and plan to get another one from him for my second run I just built, that way I don't HAVE to let them go back anf forth between runs if I dont want to, they will both have food and water...aside from what they forage..it will give me a few more options.

On a side note...who besides me is going to Stevenson this weekend for the poultry show??? I thought maybe we could do something so we can ID each other somehow!

We will be there. I will mostly be in the sale area - look for the Faverolles Fanciers of America tri-fold info board - that's me. Brown hair with blonde and red in it, and braces.

I'll be there. We entered 2 birds in the youth show (still trying to decide if we will bring them) and I will be at the raffle table selling tickets.
 
It seems like there is lots of interest in seramas on this thread. My friend has some she hatched, they are about 6 wks old. Should I bring them? Are there certain blood lines you look for? Or colors and prettiness? (is that a word?) What makes a serama desirable?

Blood lines only really matter if you are into breeding them (like I am). Seramas do not breed true to color or size and the only "recognized" color is white. For breeding, you only want yellow legs if possible. I've read that green legs can be bred out of them but not black or swarthy (yellow/black) ones. All of mine I'm keeping for breeding have yellow legs and range in size from Class A to C (D is the largest). The few I'm bringing to the swap have black legs but like all Seramas, will make excellent pets since their temperament is part of their breed. They truly are a "house chicken". They cannot tolerate temps below 40 so have to have a heat source in those temps. And cockerels have the crow 1/4 that of a bantam cockerel. I'm supposedly getting some that whistle instead of crow! I have one now that trills/sings instead of crowing. I was told that is bred into them also.

So yes, please bring them

Citrus Bliss (orange, lemon and lime) on a graham cracker crust
Limoncello (made with my homemade Limoncello recipe from Italy) on a biscotti crust
Kiwi and Honey on a graham cracker crust
Vanilla Bean (made with fresh vanilla paste) on a graham cracker crust
Strawberry Lemonade on a graham cracker crust
