Ah I see haha you don't know how many times I've had to change the bedding in their cage because of their spilled water!

I switched to water bottles...only have to scoop out the bedding under the bottle where it drips a bit. So much easier than cleaning the whole cage. I'm switching to rabbit feeders on the cages too simply because they take up less room.

My trial with the rabbit feeder did not go so well.... nuch of it ended up on the floor or in the cage where they just leave it to spoil
If you still want to use rabbit feeders get those that are solid...if you get those that have a screen you won't be able to use
fine mill feed because it will fall through.

I don't know, I have two I'm using now and yes, the food does fall through but they just scratch and peck at it and eat it off the ground. I've never had any spoil and they actually do not waste as much as they do with their hanging feeders. They can empty one of them in just a few hours by digging it out. I think they like to see them swing back and forth

My problem with the feed was when I put a solid bottom in the cage they would tip over the water that would ruin everything\\when I left
the bottom out the feed would fall to the floor and get lost in the litter. (i did not keep chicken runin around under the cages) I have
no desire to spend day after day feeding and watering and cleaning so I use the biggest feeders I can find which means maybe once a week I need to feed water seems to be couple times a week. 10 pens of chickens =ing 50 chickens is a bunch of work.

A good place to buy water cups is a dog supply place. They sell lots of styles of coop cups and clip-on buckets to be used in dog crates. Usually in stainless steel which is very easy to clean and sterilize and can go into the dishwasher.

If chickens are scratching feed out and leaving it to spoil on the ground, you are feeding too much. They don't have to have food 24 hours a day. Let them eat it until the feeders are empty and then they will go back and clean up what is on the ground. Don't give them anymore until it is all cleaned up.

Feed is too expensive to just throw it away.
