I didn't realize you were so close! Dorris Ranch is one of my favorite places to walk. I used to have family that lived in that big old house.

I have a bunch of senior citizen girls in various stages of molt so I'm not sure which is affecting them more.

I think that was part of our 'problem' with the reduced egg count recently. The humans were not as eager to greet the morning as they were with the colder darker weather and our delay at letting them out was cutting further into their daylight hours. We installed a timer on the coop light and the girls resumed regular laying with a two hour jump on us sleepyheads.
