HI, Eggbreakfast! Welcome!! I don't know about sexing EE's, but I am suspecting that one of ours is a cockrell as well. Which would be okay. Maybe when they start laying we can hatch some babies.

In Coos Bay it started clouding over this afternoon and the rain started around 3:30...but, not drenching rain, just drizzles...intermittent wipers work well!

My son's baseball practice got called because of the rain...right after they played long enough to get fully drenched, of course!

I am in Myrtle Creek, around the Roseburg area. It was that kind of rain that reminds you that much of Oregon is truly a rain forrest. I had rivers running down my driveway all afternoon. I am ready for summer! My husband was running errands in Roseburg and he said it was only a true downpour for about a 1/2 hour.

Cloverleaf, I saw the prettiest wild turkey hen the other day by my coop, and I thought of you. Season starts tomarrow!

incubatingisfun~ Are you in the valley? We used to come up from Anch and do volunteer work at some of the veggie farms as kids. I miss it!

This rain is making feel like I'm living in the valley. The girls are over 5 weeks now and their heads are starting to poke out of the brooder top. If I open it though they fly out and run around pooping all over the garage. On Wed. I put them out in the pen as it wasn't raining yet. I left to take the boys to the park, and naturally it started to downpour! Where is all this coming from? I know it's good for reserves, but I dont' have a coop yet, and after rushing home to get them in I found my partner at the house. He knew I was at the park and rushed home to get them in. So Sweet!

On a side note, after having 2 boys, we just found out I am pregnant with a girl. I think with the chickens the male/female energy should be just about even.
