well its during the day and when they are out in their run that they jump out, but at nigth i put them in and count all of them so far i have not had any loss to predators and during the day i have a close eye on them.Just remember...if the birds can get out, predators can get in....![]()
Thank you for all your chicken wisdom, gotta say I love reading your posts.That seems to be the case with most hatcheries and Straight run. I'm convinced that's where they dump off the extra roosters. No way do you end up with 20 roos out of 25 like my friend ended up with. Nature don't work like that.
The average in nature is 50/50. My line throws 60/40.
