well its during the day and when they are out in their run that they jump out, but at nigth i put them in and count all of them so far i have not had any loss to predators and during the day i have a close eye on them.

That seems to be the case with most hatcheries and Straight run. I'm convinced that's where they dump off the extra roosters. No way do you end up with 20 roos out of 25 like my friend ended up with. Nature don't work like that.

The average in nature is 50/50. My line throws 60/40.

These are the two lovely ladies I am getting from Kelar today. I have to say wayyyyyy excited to go get them and add them to my flock, some proven ladies. I got my other two adult silkie ladies from Clover leaf, I love my silkie girls!!!!!

and thats why my friend i spend most of my day with my chickens i am very cautious and very aware of whats going on

IMO, this fact goes without saying: predators (both human and animal) could get *anywhere* if determined enough.

So I'm not quite getting the point you are trying to make.
