I mix the DE with Sevin dust, about 2/3 DE, 1/3 Sevin.

I came to BYC for this information but decided to read the Oregon thread first.... I don't see any mites but the hens need to get a wing clipped. At first we thought that only the Wellsummer could fly over the 7 foot fence but have since discovered that they are all pretty good flyers now that they discovered a 1/2 acre of well water 'virgin' territory in our neighbors yard.

I thought that if we have to catch them, we should probably give them a careful head to toe, bath them, oil their feet and crowns and treat them of critters.

I was going to leave the sevin/DE the enclosed run in a big tub couple of days. Can I save the mixture in a sealed container to use later?

My duck broke or sprained her leg this morn!!!! I have to go threw this again!!!??? Uhg!!! People who dont know, my turkey sprained his leg too about 2 months ago (stupid turk turk) Well he already had a hurt leg now its even worse before it was getting better!!! Oh and today , the day that he sprained his leg, I found out that he is a BOY!!! I thought he was a girl before!!! UHG TOO MANY BOYS!!!! I have suck bad luck with getting girls I like have 15 ducks and more then half r boys!!!

So, the chicks under my broody are doing well, at a month old, and among the Black Australorps, there are only 2 emergent males. However, one of the 2 California White "pullets" I bought from Wilco Newberg has a huge red comb and is very obviously a roo...

Soooo bummed.
I bought them on a lark, just to have a couple of white eggs in the basket. Now I am going to have to send him to freezer camp before he begins breeding with my BA ladies.
I don't suppose anyone here is interested in a California White roo??? He can be available the second I can sneak him away from his Mum.
