I feel the same. I see coyotes a lot when i hike - I'm not scared of them. I love wild life but understand that people have the right to protect themselfs & property. I myself wont kill unless i had to. We have to share the land. Im sure some of the large ones people are seeing are coydogs. There are a few of those around here.I ended up doing quite a bit of fostering and re-homing of Black Mouth Curs when they did this.
The Coyotes don't bother me, it's nature and we are encroaching on it. I know that is not a popular opinion..but it's mine. They freak me out a little bit and I don't leave my cat out at night, but when I have run into them, they run and avoid me. I used to see two Cougars frequently way out off Redland Road, above Beaver Lake on Sam McGee. Now that scared me! I never left my horses out at night there.
