Gorgeous birds!!! Where did you get yours and do you ever sell chicks/started birds? I was focusing on getting Wyandottes over Rocks because I prefer the rose combs, but cushion combs would also work.

She got her start from a guy in OR...ask her.

I don't think he has them any more.  If I could remember his BYC name, I could find out where they came from though....

He got them from a...dun, dun, dun....hatchery! I just don't know which one...whichever one it was, they are AMAZING birds for hatchery stock!!

That's cool they were such nice birds. I kinda have a theory about hatchery stock, if you can get them early enough, before they have a chance to randomly mass breed everything, it can be closer to the breeder birds. But it's just a theory. :shrug:

I will PM you my info, I'm serious about getting some of these, just trying to decide if I should place an order now with John Blehm for next year or wait and try to go local. But I have relatives in Raymond, as well as Seattle, so we get up there at least a couple times a year.

With the feet I dont know if the deformed feet r in the blood lines or if it had something happen to its feet. I got him when he was 4 months. If you have any questions you can pm me. I've been trying to find an Australian Shepherd to add to my family and not having much luck with it. So I am going next week to look at a litter of Doberman Pinschers.

Same thing, right? Except the doberman is twice the size, has a short coat instead of medium, and is a terrier and not a herding dog. Other than that, same same.

Oh the joys of teaching a new pup that playing with the poultry is forbidden. Hopefully before the geese stomp him flat.
