Organic feed.

Hello Everyone!

Can anyone suggest an organic brand of chick food? Both for starting off and into adulthood? Does anyone have organic recipes for feed?

I use a local feed company's organic chicken feed. I will have to double check on the brand name. One of the hardest things to find is organic non-gmo corn. Typically feed corn is grown in mono-cultures utilizing herbicides or pesticides, is heavily fertilized, and has little nutritional content. There are a few you tube videos on making your own organic chicken feed.

I like to free range our chickens and give them lots of produce scraps, cabbage and garden left overs. Although it's tricky in the winter.

Thanks for the reply. I found an organic farmer who sells organic feed. It was cheaper to buy direct from the farmer than to order it through a feed store.
