Organic feeds... DO you use it? How much do you pay... Is it worth it?

As I posted earlier in this thread, I switched my older pullets (9 weeks) to organic Modesto Milling grower/starter feed. They seem to like it just fine, but I notice that it's really really dusty and it doesn't flow out of the feeder very easily. I have to root around inside the feeder with my hands to get the feed to come out, then it seems like they mostly pick out the crumbles and leave a lot of dust. How do other people deal with this kind of thing? So far it seems like the ladies are happy and healthy, but I'm a worrier...

I live near Portland Oregon and am planning on using the organic soy and corn free feed at The Urban Farm Store as well! Its where I got my chicks (almost 3 weeks old) and some other supplies. I like that I can support a local company so they can carry products I want that are not carried by the average feed store. With 5 chicks we can afford to do so. Our chicks are also our pets so we also built a coop that is considered too expensive by many folks. It's our priority, but maybe not everyone else's. I will say though that many fellow employees are clambering for any extra eggs we may have and offered upwards of $4/dozen for them. I doubt we can sell many as there are only 5 gals who will be laying! Its only hubby and me eating them so maybe it can help pay for some of the feed
