Not sure I would do that. Grower feed is usually to low for broilers roughly around 15% protein. Most broiler feeds run 20-22%

Where you ordering your broilers from?

The first batch came from Welp, the second from valley farms. Basically we spend a day or two nights and weekends to price shop. These two where cheapest on the days that we shopped around.

The non-organic fed birds probably had antibiotics in their feed, many of which have been shown to act as growth promoters. That would most likely account for the difference you're seeing IMO.

How where the protein levels compared to the standard feeds? Ours where about the same 1% +/-

I think it was 18%
