Question: Can you get Organic Meal worms?

I try to sell chicken eggs and people seem to like that I organically feed my chickens. Whether it is a fad or not. However, no matter how hard I try I cannot find organic mealworms (dried or alive) preferably, USDA Certified. Any advice?

Mealworms made great treats before we became organic!

There is a lady here in Florida that raises organic mealworms. I do too, but not for sale. I grow them for my own chickens. She raises other types of insects too. ALL her insects are organic. She's really a nice, person.

I would think that would be almost impossible unless you raise them yourself. I am sure that when they are growing they are just throwing any kind of food scraps in there for them to grow on. Most of them are grown in China if they are dehydrated.

She uses organic bran, and is who turned me on to the best sources of organic bran for the best prices. She feeds them organic carrots, and can tell you best sources for your money on them too. She's the one that got me started raising my own organic mealworms.

I feed mine mostly organic, but sometimes I give them some type of scraps that are not organic, but usually I grow all their stuff and just buy GMO free organic layer feed. You must have to charge a fortune for your eggs! I only get five or six dollars a dozen.

@getaclue I'm mainly looking for somebody certified. Lots of crazy folks out there.
But, if I can't find elsewhere I will definitely give her page another look.

Does the USDA and other certification organizations not certify mealworms? [1]

Edit:

I have found FDA certified meal worms. I guess they are certified facilities in China for growing edible mealworms. Look on Amazon and read the descriptions of the meal worms.

I tried looking everywhere[2]. Can you send link?
