Hi, welcome to BYC! nice to meet you and thanks for joining us. Sorry to hear of your close encounter of rooster kind. May I ask what breed of rooster? If it were me and he attack my back, he would have been dead before his feet ever touched the ground and then I would have invited him for chicken dinner. But that's just me. I hope no one finds this offensive, but to rehome him and let someone else possibly get injured is as bad as dumping him off on some poor unsuspecting homeowner that may have small children. People are always dumping off animals by my house mostly cats. some dogs, one time, ducks. I wish they would drop off a beef cow or a couple hogs. At any rate he has to be corrected. Good luck.

Welcome to BYC. Cull the Rooster.
My wife and I have both been flogged - as you now know first hand, its an immensely painful deep tissue injury, and a real potential for some awful blood-borne infections - those spurs have been in some "icky" places. Strong antibiotics and rest are consistently suggested asd the best care regimen, then treat any additional symptoms if/as they appear.

Sorry that was the situation that drove you to BYC, but glad you found us.
👋 Omgosh thank you. Yes. I was so sick, no speech, not able to walk within 4 hours, I knew it was bad in 30 minutes, took antibiotics and my doc said that saved my life. He’s not sure how long it will last. How long did it last for y’all. It’s my fault, I rarely turn my back on a Roos, I love all of our critters but respect the lions(roosters), the most, they are there to protect and I never wear shorts and I’d been hot and well, he got me real bad, 4 places. Anyway not to complainin, but let me know. Thanks for connecting 🙏🏻
