At the risk of sounding like a complete dummy, what exactly defines an Oriental chicken? Is it like Oriental cats, (which are a group mostly bred from Siamese,) or what? Is it the breeds' place of origin? Just wondering.
 
This is one pair of my Malaysian Serama's. They are approximately 1 yr old in these pics. I would call him closest to a BBR and her a spangle:

I wish I had better pics but the Sais and the Malays are such in your face birds, they wont stay put or far enough away from me to get a good picture.
