I have 11 hens of varying breeds, all of them are known for being excellent layers except my silver phoenix. yesterday I saw her going in and out of the coop, squaking more than usual, and I got a small white egg. It almost had to be hers because I only have two other white layers, one of them isn't laying yet and the other's egg was next to the small one.
So I went out today to check the boxes and my phoenix was in the nesting box.
I don't know much about the breed but I've read that they're poor layers, could it be that she will lay more often being surrounded by birds who are better layers?
