**IF** he is a good protector for the hens and **IF** he was a good representation of the breed, I would keep him around. He can be broken of his habits since he is still young.

I broke one for a friend that was having the same issues. She brought him to me for a month and by the end of the month, he was a gentleman again. Every time he would act up, I would pick him up and put him under my arm and carry him around for a while then put him down EACH TIME. The key is to be consistent. This teaches him to submit and that you are the boss.
 
They are meaty though. I've looked at my favorite hen, who is also the largest, and often thought what a great meal she'd make. And she has a name and everything!
