Orphaned Chick, wont stop peeping. Doesn't seem interested in eating or drinking. Very wobbly on i

Well this morning i tryed to put baby chick with its mum and siblins, she was OK with it but the fact that it was getting bashed about cos it not stedy on his legs. I decided to bring it back in with a siblin so now they back in the box under the heat lamp. we also put in a feather duster in the box for comfert so nw it just wait and see. Considering theres 4 days age differance theres no size differance. I wounder if it been trying to get for a while? Oh well i hope it starts to eat today. will report back later., thanks guys

Can you put them all with mom in a small area where she can walk around with them without leaving the weaker one behind? I hope it's going to be O.K.

Don't worry! I finally got her/him eating and stuff! What i did was I gave the little guy some scrambled eggs, which chickens go ga ga for lol because someone suggested it and it also had protein. It is currently night of day 5 and my fluffy thing is eating and drinking alot, and peeping like a mad chick.

Try it out if you're still having issues. OH! And i also stuck a fuzzy slipper in there upside down so my chick can hide comfortably. keeps the peeping down.

Its been a few days now and baby chick now named little blacky is now EATING weyhay!! very well. I put warm water in with the chick crumbs and it loves it I think its sibing also helped The only thing is it drys out quite quick how often do you guys think i should feed it? at the moment im feeding 6-7 times a day. With the weather being realy hot today I thought id try blacky and siblin back in with mum for the first hour she wasnt bothered by the new comers. blacky was a bit slow when the others were feeding it just watched any way an hou or so later mummy hen decided to peck little blacky and attack it. So sadley Blacky is now back in the house undr the heat lamp. Will it be OK on its own? or should i bring the other 2 in and put mummy hen back with the rest of the flock, so then ill only have 2 flocks and not 3 in efect. Im so anoyed with mummy hen for attacking it

I would bring all the little ones in together. Three isn't any harder to care for than one. They don't like being alone as you have noticed.

Well thanks for all your advise its payed off Blacky has been with it mum now for 4 hrs nd now at bed time is snuggled with mum, I am very nervious about leaving it out as the last time mum turned on it after a few hours, this could have been cos it wasnt mooving much and she probabley knew it was a runt. Now it 4 days older and running and flapping about may be shes ok with it now. Hope its OK in the morning
