We have ragdoll coloring in the lines.

EVERYONE-Please quit hounding me on adoopting and/or spaying/neuturing! I keep this thread updated on the progress of the kittens for those who had asked me tp but, if this stuff continues I will ask for it to be closed!

Sorry to hear about the kitten. I also live on a farm....a real working farm...not just a country place.....and have been following this thread and the kittens progress. You are so right in saying there's no way that you'll get a cat from a shelter. I too have been turned down by our local shelter because of no fenced yard for a dog and they won't even consider me for a cat if it's going to be an outside cat. They'd rather euthanize than let them have a farm home.

I went with a friend when she adopted a puppy from a shelter once and I almost think she could have adopted a human baby a little easier. She got the puppy after nearly TWO HOURS of going through that rigorous adoption process.

(Sorry to hear about the kitten, Farmer.)

Im so sorry.

She was the one with the eye infection, right?

I have a cat rescue near me, and they adopt out semi-feral cats to be barn cats. They spay/neuter them and give them all their shots.

There are many cat rescues that adopt out spayed/neutered/vacced/tested cats to be barn cats. My mom happens to run one of them.

I have to say that I agree with amazondoc, the shelter's around here wont even consider adopting out a cat or dog that will not be kept in the house at all times, it is really sad.
