Orpington Chick strange color?

I bought a lavender Orpington egg for my incubator, but the chick hatched a strange color? It is blackish on the top, and yellow on the underside.
Granted, I've never hatched a Lavender chick, but this is definitely not what I was expecting. Could there have been a mixup in breeding? Or is this typical of a Lavender pattern?

It's black. Could be split for lavender, but you won't know without breedi bff it to lavender

Mix up (maybe a cross, or you were sent the wrong eggs). That looks like mottled chick down (maybe black). Did the breeder have mottled or black breeds?

That looks nothing like the lavender chicks I hatched. They are supposed to be light grey (lavender), and that one looks black.

Yes, she had cross breeds. She also had blacks as well. She told me she had picked the egg Lavender, but it must have been bred something else accidentally, or perhaps the wrong egg. I love Orpingtons regardless, so it's not a huge deal. But I definitely had to scratch my head when it hatched.
