Orpington chicks

These cuties are 2.5 weeks old. One buff and three lavender. I was sure the buff (chick #2) was a girl because of early feather development (not sure if that’s even true) but with that comb development I’m gunna guess a roo. I know there’s no %100 at this age but what’s everyone’s thoughts?

I would say cockerel for #2...question I have is are number 2's legs white or yellow? They look yellow in the pic and the color doesn't look buff either, feather wise

I just went out to double check. They’re white, same shade as my older buff hen. Her coloring is lighter though. The breeder I got her from only has buff and lavender orpingtons on her property maybe he’s a mix of the two colors?

I'm fresh new to chickens but from my experience from my orpingtons I'd say 2 and 4 are probably cockerals and 1 and 3 are your egg machines .

Pictures don't always tell the truth that's why I asked but that comb is definitely saying cockerel for only 2.5 weeks. Thing I have noticed with my orps compared to my other breeds is that they develop slower. My youngest orp was 38 weeks before she laid her first egg. and my other 3 were from 26 to 29 weeks

That would be known as Blue Cream or Porcelain depending on breed.

Agreed # 2 is cockerel... and none of them *look* buff, to me. And #4 may also be a cockerel.
