The fluffier the better. I just the fluff on the Orps. They get prettier the older they get.

Those pics are great! The first one is my fav also. Orps are just so round, fluffy and cute! I could look at pics all day of those fat happy chickens scratching around the yard.

Oooooh, Im going to have to watch for those eggs too. Here Im already deciding Im going to hatch eggs...I dont have a coop, a chicken, or an incubator! hahaha But I have the coop on order, the chicks coming in Feb. from McMurray, and Im now shopping for an incubator.

Does the madness ever end??? bwahahahahah!!!!!

My husband and I are new to chickens but we want to add a few Orpingtons to our "flock" (2 hens and a duck). What are their tempraments like? Our 2 hens are pets and very friendly so we want to stick to chickens who won't try to pick on them.

Wow beautiful birds, I love orpingtons... so big and poofy lol. Never seen them in a blue variety before, theyre gorgeous! I'll have to see if I can find someone who breeds them around here. I have one buff orpington and she's very sweet, so I definitely wouldn't mind having more around.
