I have a chocolate Orpington hen. She is currently around 9 months of age. maybe a bit older. and no eggs. no squatting, no nothing. she is healthy, her comb is nice red color, eating/drinking etc. so what age do orpingtons start to lay eggs?

Orpingtons generally start laying between 22 and 26 weeks of age. Your hen is clearly far beyond this threshold, so the bird may not lay? Some hens end up never laying any eggs. It is a rarity, but it happens. More information can probably be found in the Chicken Behavior and Egglaying section of the forum.

anything can be done to kick start her? I live in a city without enough room for freeloaders!
