I appreciate everyone’s input. I’m hoping the breeder just has fast maturing hens in his line and is correct - I don’t want to have to find new addresses for that many birds

I hope you don't either, but I'd start putting my feelers out now. You shouldn't have to much of a problem finding homes for the lavenders. That's all part of buying straight run. I had a customer this year pay me extra to grow out a hatch to ensure she got a pair of lavenders. That may be something to think about next time, but I probably wouldn't do it with your current "breeder" because I don't think they know their stuff
