Hey yall! I have fourteen chickens and one of which has a bare spot on its back. It has had it for months now and the chickens walk up to it sometimes and pluck a feather. Its been fine and we've been treating it throughout the months. Lately, however, we have noticed chickens running up to it, jumping on it, and attacking it. We have already had one die recently we think due to the same reason. They can possibly be bored, they have so much to do and we just bought them more stuff to play in. She is starting to get bloody and we don't know what else to do. Help!

You need to seperate her and let her heal up. Once there blood, the whole flock will go after her.

I know, we did. Then we put her back in once and they attacked her again. I will try separating her longer. But it seems they'll never be able to go together again because they will always attack her. Thank you I'll try!

Can you please provide some photos of your hen that is being attacked, the rest of your flock and your coop/run?

How much space do you have in your coop/run (sqft of each)?
What do you feed, including treats?
