Yesterday, I was feeding my hens some mealworms and the matriarch pecked the underling violently, i separated them but the hen had a very small peck wound on her comb. I cleaned it and a few small drops of blood came out. The wound looks sealed this morning, is there a chance that this wound can become infected? Is there anything else I should do? Thanks

So, the lady boss was setting up the pecking order rules huh? The peck wounds usually don't get infected but you can put a small blob of Neosporin (w/o pain/scar med) on the wound if it makes you feel better :)
