Other ways to sell eggs!

Lol! My mom and I are vegetarians (not vegan, obviously) and we both eat a lot of eggs for protein. 4 eggs a day might be enough, assuming that all 4 lay every day. I have a barred rock, a buff orpington, a buff brahma, and a standard cochin. Maybe I should've gotten a leghorn!

our family is vegetarians, too! yay veggie-people, lol. Those are beautiful breeds. Our city only allows 5 chickens, so we are done at 4 (the leghorn crosses and 2 silkies) good luck with the egg laying!

This is such a clever idea. We live in the city and I would imagine that would do well here too. I wonder if there is a thread of just ideas like these.
here's what i did with the extra feathers that my gals shed...

I would love to have your eggnog recipe?
hi. i havent decided if i want to share the recipe via the internet, but from what i ve seen it's similar to others on the internet, BUT I CAME ACROSS GEORGE WASHINGTONS EGGNOG RECIPE!!!
George Washington even penned his own famous heavy-on-the-alcohol eggnog recipe. Only one problem: he forgot to record the exact number of eggs. Cooks in his era estimated a dozen would do:

One quart cream, one quart milk, one dozen tablespoons sugar, one pint brandy, 1/2 pint rye whiskey, 1/2 pint Jamaica rum, 1/4 pint sherry—mix liquor first, then separate yolks and whites of eggs, add sugar to beaten yolks, mix well. Add milk and cream, slowly beating. Beat whites of eggs until stiff and fold slowly into mixture. Let set in cool place for several days. Taste frequently.

now that is so cool!!!!! i ll be making this one soon!
