Others might have this problem with PMs or emails too

I don't sign out when I leave the forum, I just close the window so it leaves me signed in and I don't have to do it everytime I come in. I guess that means whenever my screen name is signed online it shows me as online in the forum. I've gotten a few messages that don't get answered right away then I get a rather rude one that says they see me online why am I not answering? During the day and a lot of evenings, my mom uses my screen name in the RV because they don't have one. She also uses my computer a lot at my house so she's online a whole lot, it's not me. If I get a message or email while I'm online I answer it, she doesn't check my email or BYC messages, so please don't think I'm being rude, I'm not and I'm sure a lot of other folks get this too.

Yup, same thing here. I never even close the window. Sites I frequent are left up and I seldom shut down the computer. I have been gone for an entire day and it looked like I was logged on.

Yeppers! I've walked away and come back 8 hours later after I go shopping and say oops! Never fails I also have 9 or 10 open IMs from people looking for me!

What honestly amazes me the most is that it seems some people actually believe that I have 3 children, 34 chickens, a bazillion other animals, live alone with all this, and I am actually sitting here in front of the computer 24 hours a day!!!!

OH MY! That would be the ultimate disaster!!!

I'm not on here 24/7 although between stuff I pop on and off all day. My homepage is setup to byc and by magic I stay logged in 24/7-365....... I've gotten those PM's myself. I just remind people that I may not have my BYC window open when they PM me, often I am doing research or logged into someplace else remotely.

I usually leave BYC 'minimized' on my screen 24/7 and then pop in whenever I can (more often that I can, actually!) so likewise, it would appear that I'm tuned in all the time.....

Clearly you will answer your PM's as soon as you get the chance.

I never log off either.

I jump in every chance i get though. I get very few pm's though, probably due to my sick sense of humor and most peeps don't know how to take me till they get to know me.
