My marans are friendlier than my welsummers, but the welsummers have laid better for me. I don't know it it's just this line of marans, but they seem to like to go broody a lot.

They're all just coming off of their moult and laying break, so I hope that's what caused it.

None of my girls seem to be suffering from laying the big egg, so I guess for now it'll remain a mystery as to who's it is.

You know, I just had a SLW come off of a very hard molt and when she started laying again the first several eggs were enormous!!! Now they are not as big, but they are still bigger than they were before!!

Poor Chicken!!!

My bet would be the RIR. Mine did that for awhile, but now lays normal sized eggs.
