Our 5 y/o pekin girl just passed - seized, gone in 5 minutes. What is their usual lifespan??!

Second pekin we have lost. Our semi-crippled jumbo boy got horrific fly strike. Today, sudden seizure and our Blanchie was gone.
Are they more short lived than other ducks???

i’m so sorry, my khaki passed away due to seizures last month too.

pekin have more problems than other breeds but can definitely live long lives! my boys are only 3.5 but i know people with pekins who are 7+ years old and still healthy

Yes, its been a rough month. We had 3 sumatra chicks fail to thrive too. Comes in bunches sometimes
