Our adopted chickens, what kind are they??

The first hen actually has pretty nice coloring for a hatchery Rhode Island Red.
Second looks to be a buff Orpington.
Third is an Easter Egger, might have been misrepresented as an Aracauna or Ameraucana. From the part-straight comb she may lay brown or cream eggs, though.

Actually I think my EE lays bluish/green eggs. I have seen the other 3 laying brownish beige eggs. But have never seen my EE in the roost. just found one bluish/green egg in the roost one day. My EE is rarely in the roost, would that normal for her to lay only one egg in a couple of weeks?

That's cool if she lays colored eggs! The blue/green shell gene is closely related to a pea comb, and your bird's comb looks like a cross between a pea and a straight, so it's never a sure thing if the blue/green genes came across, also. I love my colored eggs!

You're in the US, so your red bird is a hatchery Rhode Island Red. True, the heritage, high quality Reds are a darker, almost mahogany color, but your bird is very nice for hatchery quality, which is what the majority of us have.

Warrens are a British thing, to my knowledge. Not a US breed.

Thanks donrae!! I appreciate the info. That makes sense, especially if Warrens are not found in the US. Interesting!!! I'm learning so much about my girls. I love it. Does anyone have an idea how old they might be? I know that's probably hard to tell from a picture. Someone did mention they thought they were pullet/hens. Not sure what that means. Boy I'm really showing how " green" I am when it comes to these chickens huh??

Warren is just a name given here in UK

they are still bred from same parent breeds and produce the same offspring
