WE FINISHED EVERYTHING TODAY!!! I am so happy w/ our coop & runs! Now we just have to clean our old dog house to put in the 4x15 run for our roosters and make the girls their swings! My hubby & I got so lucky that this renovation was COMPLETELY FREE for us! Here are the new pics!!!!

Thanks Lisa! They sure do look like they are enjoying the bigger area to run! I just wish I could let them free range a little, but we about had a bad experience between one of the austalorps & our cat the other day so that idea was nixed pretty quick....

Thanks everyone! My hubby put a swing up for my girls this morning while I was at work

(first time back at work in 2 years for me...aaahhh.) I am going crazy that I'm not home to help or play with the chickens. (& my boys... lol...) I will try to take a few pics tomorrow of the swing to post as long as the weather is better then it was today.

Nice Job and the best part it was all free materials.

I have a question I see that you have two dog feeders in the coop are feeders or nests?

My hubby and I are moving our coop and chicken yard again before winter.
It will be in a 10 x 16 storage shed the goats will get halfm This decision was made after the downpour we had today and none of my animals were happy.

I brought home my new herd shire before the rain and they didnt want to share quarters so I got stuck out there in the rain too,
made sure chickens were snug then, ran back in only to have to grab my 4 (3wk )old kittens so they wouldn't drown

My hubby went into hysterics laughing

I was drenched from head to toe

What we won't do for animals

Thats funny! We converted them into nesting boxes. We took the front & inside plastic parts out & turned them upside down & attached a hook so I could swing the door thingy open for the nesting material to "fall out" when I am cleaning the coop. Then I just have to close them & put the new material in em. It made it REALLY simple to clean out, IMO...

Here's an up close pic of one:
