Our Chicken Coop and Run

We've recently finished our hen house and run. It's a fairly low budget effort (we used a lot of materials we had left over from other projects) that turned out kind of cute, I think. The Girls and The Colonel seem to like it.

The coop is 4' x 8' and the run is 8' x 12'. We have a dozen hens and one rooster in residence.

"The Colonel" is not named for Kentucky fried, but in honor of my father - a retired Army colonel who thinks that I am absolutely nuts becoming a "chicken farmer!"
