Our chicken has swollen comb and seems to be having trouble breathing. Please help us diagnose and treat her.

No. Her legs look normal.

She tested positive for Giardia. The vet gave us a prescription for Panacur to treat the sick one, but they can’t be describe enough for our 7 other chickens without seeing them. Does anyone know of another way to treat the rest of the chickens for Giardia?

Are you in the U.S.?

If so, then you can find Fenbendazole (Safeguard/Panacur) at TSC and treat the rest of your birds. Dose would be 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once a day for 5 days in a row.

Alternatively, you can use Valbazen (Albendazole). You can order it online. Dose is 0.08ml per pound of weight, given orally once, then repeated in 10 days.

OR you can use Ronidazole.

Personally, I'd use either the Fenbendazole (Safeguard/Pancur) or Valbazen (Albendazole) to treat the rest of the flock.
