Our chicken house is almost done

I have to give it a coat of paint and some cleanup and trim back the metal roof. We added deer neeting to the open area of the run so they can get some sun. Hopefully going in this weekend. Our flock is 4 weeks old.

Hi chknhouse, it is a lovely coop!

I would recommend, though, that if you are going to keep water in the coop, you might want to consider an auto water system with nipples. It would also help for over winter if you made it with heat tape along the pipe... It would prevent freezing and add a little heat in the coop.

I love the chicken nipples because there are no spills. Just a few drops of water get missed or splashed.

Ome thing getting chickens has taught me is that I am an exceptionally poor carpenter! So not only do I appreciate how attractive your coop is, i also appreciate that you did a very good job!
