Just to let everyone know, the hen survived the attack. There were two very deep puncture wounds, two shallow puncture wounds, and a scrape. One day she mutilated herself so badly, we thought she wouldn't make it. She ripped layers of her flesh off that one night. So we put a hen saddle on her.
For the first two days we just poured Hydrogen peroxide on her, but the next day we got cotton swabs, and tons of pus had settled into the wounds. We cleared it out with the swabs, and then proceeded to use a syringe to push the hydrogen peroxide in. We would then pour veterycin, and then bluecoat. As ach day passed, the peroxide solution was diluted considerably until we just used veterycin, bluecoat, and then triple antibiotic ointment. I truly believe those swabs saved her! She still has a small limp, but even all of her feathers are grown back.
