Most of my chickens are fine, it's just one I have had issues with. It feels doughy and soft. Not liquidy. How do their crops feel? Soft, hard. Doughy?
I hope that's just what it is.. and I hope this isn't something that will effect the whole flock.Looks like they are just adjusting their crop
She does that every day, I don't know why.She leans her head back and moves her throat a bit. My chickens do that quite frequently.
Ok, doughy is not good. Can indicate sour crop. But soft is normal. Check her first thing in the morning. You want a flat, empty crop. If it feels doughy in the morning then it could be sour crop. Have you noticed a smell? Most of my chickens are fine, it's just one I have had issues with. It feels doughy and soft. Not liquidy.
I can't tell the difference. I have picked her up and didn't smell anything.Ok, doughy is not good. Can indicate sour crop. But soft is normal. Check her first thing in the morning. You want a flat, empty crop. If it feels doughy in the morning then it could be sour crop. Have you noticed a smell?
