Exciting news! I have had good luck with the shavings under the paper towels or puppy pee pads. I always do the electrolytes in one of the water containers as it is suggested to help with the stress of delivery. This year is the first that I have used a heat plate and it has been great. It saves a lot of worry about the brooder being too hot or too cold. Good luck! It sounds like you have everything under control.

Oh, they are so cute. Looks like four EEs, four Dominiques and three Australorps. I am amazed by how quickly they took to the vertical nipples! So far everybody looks good. They are peeping contentedly. ❤
