Our chicks!!

We won't get them until early September when they are about 9 or so weeks old, but here they are. We are also only getting 4 of them...but I am so stinking excited!!! Now we just have to get that coop built!!!

Only getting four? Are you sure?! But there's so many of them! When I started this small flock I have now I remember very clearly telling my husband "Oh don't worry, I only want three MAYBE four." Well then there were the barred rocks at another feed store, slipped in a couple of those, couple Rhode Islands the next day. Anyway, ended up with nine so not too far over my initial estimate! Bless him he never said a word about the chicken math going on in the brooder!
