For what it's worth, I don't think it's obsessive or deranged to make lots of drawing of what you're planning to build. And no, I'm not just saying that because I do the same thing

What a great job and use of space! I do think adding some high roosts with food rewards will get your gals to use the height of your run like you mentioned. It is good exercise for them as well!
