Our Coop is finally finished (pic heavy)

Thanks Capvin. The run as it is, is only temporary. The girls were getting way to big for the brooder and had to go out! They are in the coop after dark and 3/4 of our yard is fenced with stockade. The plan is to make it larger and reinforce with welded wire around the inside and a skirt underneath so there can be no attacks from underneath, also going to put wire on top to discourage anything from climbing over. Will post pics when finished.

I am glad to hear about your plans for the run. We are brand new to all this and both my wife and I have become a bit paranoid about predators. Every day we read in this forum about someone who felt they had a predator proof run and coop losing chicks. If I had a Hammer and a large crow bar I would have a difficult time getting into my run but my wife has become so attached to these five week old chicks that it would be unthinkable to lose any of them. Our run and coop is very secure but because we have bears in the area I am now putting up a perimeter electric fence. That would be totally unnecessary for you and it would be for us also, but for the bears. Love your coop...it is nice to see that we are all crazy.
